German EBM and electro-pop act Digital Factor released “They Will Forget You (When You Die)” on 10 April 2026 via Alfa Matrix, a digital EP with five tracks. It serves as an early preview of the band’s upcoming album, “0.8”.
An official video for the title song is embedded below.
The EP is available now on the Alfa Matrix store, and the whole release can be heard on Bandcamp.
What’s on the EP
The title song turns up in four guises here, and a live recording closes the set:
- “They Will Forget You”
- “They Will Forget You (Gwen Gaffa remix)”
- “They Will Forget You (feat. Kalle Vogel – Logic & Olivia)”
- “They Will Forget You (king size remix)”
- “You’re Going Down (live)”
Carsten Canay made the “king size” remix, and the live “You’re Going Down” is a nod to the band’s 2011 album “Trialog”.
A new face in the line-up
The EP also signals a personnel change: Gwendolyn Gaffa is now a fixed member alongside Mike Langer, both in the studio and live.
About Digital Factor
Digital Factor grew out of Altenburg, Germany, where Mike Langer, Torsten Heise and Tino Schmidt launched the band in 1993. Its music blends EBM and electro, and later on picked up flavours of synth-pop, techno and crossover.
A Hard Records EP, 1994’s “F.A.L.L.I.N.G.- Down”, got things started. Between 1995 and 1999 the band was on Hyperium / Hypnobeat, which brought “Relationchips”, “On Demand” and three further releases. After a break there were three more records between 2006 and 2011, the last being “Trialog”.
The 2020 deal with Alfa Matrix produced “Come With Me” as its first release. “A Chemical Process” arrived a year later, after which came a few catalogue reissues and then the EP “What?” in 2022. In 2023 the singles “Ouvre” and “I Am What I Am” were joined by a charity album, “G.B.A.-General Behavior Abrogate”. “0.8” is the next step, and the new EP is its first teaser. More news on the band is collected in the Digital Factor archive.
