Estonian electro-industrial act Freakangel issued the digital “Control” EP on 10 April 2026 through Alfa Matrix. The brand-new title song sits beside “Suicidal (Break The Cycle)” and “Death Bloom”, two singles the band had already released.
Official videos for “Death Bloom” (the uncensored cut) and “Suicidal (Break The Cycle)” are embedded below.
The EP is available now on the Alfa Matrix store, and it can be streamed in full on Bandcamp.
A new song and two familiar ones
Only the title track is new. “Suicidal (Break The Cycle)” dates from 2023 (single, later joined by an extended EP), while “Death Bloom” came a year afterwards as a single with a companion extended-version EP. With all three songs on one release, “Control” becomes the latest entry in the band’s Alfa Matrix catalogue.
About Freakangel
Freakangel, led by Dmitry Darling, formed in Tallinn at some point around 2009–2010.
Its recent Alfa Matrix titles include the 2024 compilation “Serenity To The Stars, Beauty To The Broken”, the 2022 EP “The Last White Dance” and the 2021 “X Anniversary Edition” of “The Faults Of Humanity”.
Further back, the label put out the band’s early albums, namely “The Ones To Fall”, “Let It All End” and, where it all began on the label, “The Faults Of Humanity”, together with the EPs “Into The Fire”, “The Book Of Violence” and “Porcelain Doll” and the live recordings “The Show Of Violence” and “The Faults Of Humanity: Live”. DWA, on the other hand, handled “How The Ghost Became” (a 2017 album) and, separately, the “In The Witch House” EP. Everything about the band is gathered in the Freakangel archive.
