Description
With “Progenitrix”, István Gazdag opens a bold new chapter for FIRST AID 4 SOULS, abandoning the project’s industrial harshness to embrace a more sensual and evocative universe where darkwave, goth and post-punk shimmer with electronic authenticity. Conceived as a celebration of female creativity and power, the album unites an extraordinary cast of Divas of the Dark: Aux Animaux, Emke (Black Nail Cabaret), Marita Volodina (Stridulum – Blood Tears After), Ruth García Núñez de Arenas (From Hell), Aleksandra Rempel, Kriistal Ann (Paradox Obscur), Linda Daemon, Celina and Valanaïs. Each of these artists lends her unique voice and aura, transforming the songs into intimate rituals of desire, strength and mystery.
Entirely crafted on lovingly restored vintage synths and samplers from the eighties and nineties, “Progenitrix” radiates an authentic retro-futurist soul. It is an album that dances on a razor’s edge between past and future – a goth dress-up with metal frames peeking out from beneath, a female cyborg of sound, both delicate and unbreakable. The music seduces and unsettles in equal measure, offering whispered confessions in the dark carried by voices that are at once ethereal and fierce.
At once a sonic talisman and a feminist statement, “Progenitrix” is also the first part of a larger duology. Its forthcoming counterpart, built entirely on male voices, will complete the cycle and together the two works will form a meditation on unity and duality, inspired by ancient myths of love and wholeness. But for now, “Progenitrix” stands on its own as a rare and precious creation, a deeply emotional and sensual journey born from a global network of exceptional women destined to leave their mark on the contemporary landscape of darkwave, goth and electronic music.
