Brazilian EBM pairing Aesthetische has issued “Mix The State,” a four-track remix EP, by way of Alfa Matrix on 6 November 2026. Offered digitally only, the EP revolves around “Break The State” — a cut lifted from the duo’s “Every Beat Matters” EP — and surrounds it with two fresh reworkings and a previously unheard instrumental.
The opener, a “static noise version” of “Break The State” (4:36), drags the track into grittier, more industrial terrain; before “Alarmstate” (3:25) steps in as a vocal-free instrumental aimed squarely at the dancefloor. The “electric hell version” (4:30) then dials up the electronic charge, and the set signs off with the original “Break The State” (4:16). Across the EP the duo nods to the vintage EBM of Front 242 and Front Line Assembly while leaning on a tougher, present-day production style.
“Mix The State” is available now on the Alfa Matrix store and can be streamed in full over on Bandcamp.
One song, four angles
The EP takes a lone track from “Every Beat Matters” and blows it out into a four-version release, placing the two new mixes next to the unreleased “Alarmstate” and the source recording.

About Aesthetische
Formed in 2012, Aesthetische is the Brazilian EBM and industrial pairing of Gui Pires and Fab Viscardi after the two had already collaborated in Aghast View and in the 1990s electro-industrial group Biopsy. The project joined Belgian label Alfa Matrix that same year and has kept a steady output since, among them “Powerswitch” (2012), “HybridCore” (2014), “Co3xist3ns3” (2019) and “Rvprty” (2022), together with a string of EPs and singles such as “Boiling Over” (2023), “Confidence Is Silent” (2024) and the six-track EPCD “Selling Fear” (2025). The duo also turned up on the 2012 split “4.4U [2012.11]” next to Metroland, Mentallo & The Fixer and Daniel B. Prothèse.
With “Mix The State,” Aesthetische circles back to “Every Beat Matters,” spinning “Break The State” into two new shapes and folding the unreleased “Alarmstate” into its Alfa Matrix discography. The rest of the label’s catalog is worth exploring on the Alfa Matrix Bandcamp.
