808 DOT POP – solo project of Belgian electronic pop / vintage synth music producer Passenger S (METROLAND) returns with another conceptual and inspiring sonic journey. This new 3-track EP announces the 2 companion albums “Minimalism” & “Maximalism”.

This new 808 DOT POP “Minimalism EP” unfolds as a dialogue between rhythm and space, merging electronic grooves with analogue sequences that loop with subtle, human variation. Percussion forms the structural backbone, carving out negative space while warm synth patterns circulate with measured precision, echoing architectural form, proportion and balance. Smooth, immersive atmospheres add depth, like sound drifting through a quiet modernist interior where every surface resonates with intention.

These aural textures blur the boundary between structure and emotion, balancing control with fluidity, restraint with motion, and precision with warmth.

Rooted in the principles of 20th-century architecture, particularly Minimalism and Contextualism, this EP embraces clarity, reduction and spatial awareness as core compositional tools.

Inspired by the openness and transparency of the Farnsworth House, the hidden infrastructural logic of the AT&T Long Lines building, and the interplay of light and shadow in the Koshino House, it translates architectural thinking into sonic form.

Across its tracks, this release develops a language where sound is treated as architecture: restrained, deliberate, and quietly expressive where every element has purpose, and silence becomes part of the structure itself.
