Description
With “Alone”, American Industrial/EBM act FRONTAL BOUNDARY open the door to their forthcoming album “Shattered Mind” and take their sound to the next level: a new sonic evolution begins.
Still firmly rooted in their trademark hard-hitting dark electro, FRONTAL BOUNDARY now pushes further into refined dark melodies, poignant synth lines and emotionally charged vocals, combining raw electronic power with an increasingly irresistible sense of catchiness. They make darkness shine.
The title track takes us deep into the darkest corners of the human mind, exploring isolation, grief and the struggle to keep going when hope feels impossibly far away. But “Alone” also reveals a more melodic and emotionally exposed side of FRONTAL BOUNDARY – without ever sacrificing their characteristic intensity.
The EP also takes an unexpected turn with a haunting reinterpretation of GARBAGE’s “Milk”, featuring the evocative female vocals of Kimber Parrish and adding yet another dimension to the band’s evolving sound.
And there is much more to discover: five very different remix visions transform “Alone” in their own distinctive ways. From the atmospheric approach of ASSEMBLAGE 23 to the harder electronic treatments of PROTOKOLL 19 and REAPER, through the more experimental perspectives of ASPHODEL IVORY and THE AXIOM DIVIDE, the EP offers a remarkably diverse journey around one powerful song.
“Alone” is more than a new single. It is a statement of intent – FRONTAL BOUNDARY are evolving, expanding and pushing their darkness into new territory.
