Description
Belgian electronic artist Franky Deblomme returns with CUBIC and “Elements”, a new 5-track EP that takes his unmistakable minimal electro DNA into more dynamic techno territory.
Built from the diverse elements that have shaped CUBIC’s sound over the years, “Elements” brings together 80s electro, 90s techno à la R&S Records, acid and dub techno, with a nod to more contemporary electronic acts such as BICEP and MODESELEKTOR.
From the driving pulse of “Future Past” to the Detroit and Chicago-inspired variations of “BangBang”, the EP pushes CUBIC into a more energetic and dancefloor-oriented direction. Yet beneath the techno dynamics, those characteristic minimal sequences, vintage electronics and hypnotic patterns remain firmly in place.
It feels like a journey back to the future: classic electronic ingredients, reassembled through a modern techno lens. CUBIC evolves without ever losing its identity.
