On the 50th anniversary of one of electronic music’s most iconic albums, Swedish minimal electro-pop act ELEKTROKLÄNGE proudly presents their new EP, “Auf der schönen grauen Autobahn”. This release is the final chapter in their trilogy honoring KRAFTWERK’s groundbreaking “Autobahn”.
Following the acclaimed “Abfahrt” EP and the full-length album “Motorik”, this three-track EP is the culmination of a sonic journey through German electronic music, with a modern twist on the genre KRAFTWERK helped shape.
The EP features a finely tuned radio edit of the title track, and an epic, 22+-minute “umleitung mix”. This extended version takes listeners on a journey through ever-evolving melodies and rhythmic shifts, paying homage to KRAFTWERK while charting new territory with rich, unexpected twists.
Also included is the minimalist piano demo of “Glitzerstrahl”. This elegant “wohltemperierte klavier mix” offers a rare peek into ELEKTROKLÄNGE’s creative process, highlighting the origins of their signature sound.
