Description
The album where GLIS grew teeth, “Nemesis” (2005) saw Shaun Frandsen’s Seattle project pivot from bright futurepop toward a darker, more industrial-edged sound. Harder beats and colder atmospheres give it real bite, while Frandsen’s melodic instincts keep the songs firmly hooked.
A rich cast of guests deepens the record, including Jean-Luc De Meyer of FRONT 242, Sandrine Gouriou of SEIZE and Len Lemeire of IMPLANT. Moody, muscular and confidently produced, “Nemesis” marks a bold step forward for one of Alfa Matrix’s early futurepop signings.
