Description

Belgian electro-industrial institution IMPLANT returns with “I’m Only Happy When You Bleed”, the second track revealed from the forthcoming 15th studio album “The Kinematics Of Doubt”, and this time, the signal comes with serious extra voltage.

The title track is a dark, seductive and highly danceable exercise in tension, driven by an unusual 3/4 rhythm. Its evolving electronic layers and shifting pulse create an unsettling atmosphere where lyrics about control, cruelty and forced submission take centre stage. Seductive yet threatening, the song turns pain and power into a twisted performance. Catchy and unsettling, it shows IMPLANT at its most provocative and club-ready.

But this is no ordinary single. The extended 8-track EP offers a substantial preview of the new album while adding several exclusive treats. “Information Systems” opens the release with a long-form electronic soundscape constructed entirely around spoken samples and the mythology of computing, a hypnotic meditation on the machines that have quietly become an essential part of everyday life. Meanwhile, “The Insider” explores the darker side of privileged knowledge, questioning how much of what we perceive as “inside information” is actually fact, interpretation or simple assumption.

Also included is “Pills (in f sharp)”, a radical reworking of the album track that shifts the original into a different key while turning its uncompromising EBM attack into an even more direct club weapon. Its addictive “Pills, I want more pills” refrain becomes both provocative chant and sharp satire on society’s obsession with quick fixes.

And then come the remixes. Legendary New York electronic outfit CRASH COURSE IN SCIENCE strip “I’m Only Happy When You Bleed” down to pure physical impact, transforming it into a relentless club monster built for sweating bodies and packed dancefloors. PEOPLE THEATRE take the track in a very different direction, adding melodic and electroclash elements before letting a detuned lead gradually take over the senses. Finally, Belgian label mates AIBOFORCEN deliver a version that sounds as if the track had been beamed directly into their own studio: unmistakably AIBOFORCEN, yet still pure IMPLANT at its core.

8 tracks, multiple faces, one unmistakable signal. IMPLANT is back, and “The Kinematics Of Doubt” is getting closer.
