Estonia’s Freakangel have put out a seven-track “Control (Extended)” EP, which landed on 26 June 2026 via Alfa Matrix. Following the band’s “Control” EP from April 2026, it tacks on four fresh reworkings of the title song. Freakangel’s own sound mixes aggrotech, industrial and dark electro with rock.
“Control (Extended)” is available now on the Alfa Matrix store, and the full EP can be streamed on Bandcamp.
Three originals plus four remixes
Retained from the first edition are the three original tracks — “Control”, “Death Bloom” and “Suicidal (Break The Cycle)” — followed by remixes of “Control” from Psycholies, PashaRav, Spankthenun and Implant. The writing, production and recording were handled by D. Darling and Ocean Black. Usoundworks Studio took care of mixing and mastering, and the cover artwork is by Gobotoru.
Two official videos come with the release. Darling links the “Death Bloom” clip, embedded below, with the group’s stage-focused side, and the second video belongs to “Suicidal (Break The Cycle)”.

About Freakangel
Freakangel hails from Estonia and pairs electro-industrial with rock. Dmitry Darling, who performs as D. Darling, founded it in Tallinn towards the end of 2009 as a side venture to his other group, Suicidal Romance. Its first full-length, “The Faults Of Humanity”, appeared on the Belgian imprint Alfa Matrix, which the band has stayed with since.
Further EPs and free-download releases followed, including 2024’s “Death Bloom (extended version)” EP, before the “Control” EP arrived in April 2026. With this new edition, the remixes of the single sit beside the first EP’s tracks, rounding off that chapter. More from the label can be found on the Alfa Matrix Bandcamp.
