“4ir Intelligence” is at the same time a reference to METROLANDs 80s pop past and it ejects into that futuristic fourth revolution. Winking to bands like OMD, YAZOO and BLANCMANGE when they magically produced the finest melodies and sequence layers, topped with the METROLAND vintage sound anno 2023, keeps placing these Belgian synth lovers in the heart of many fans of the Düsseldorf sound style.
Next to the title song, each METROLAND Passenger, from their own secluded habitat, reshaped “4ir Intelligence” into their very own personal view giving it wide and extra synthetic dimensions. Last but not least, METROLAND invited lifetime friend Franky Deblomme from CUBIC as external remixer unleashing his acidic Manchester sounds, all the way from Belgium, tweaking the atmosphere of the original version.

Modern industrial/EBM solo-project of studio guru Sebastian Komor (also known as ICON OF COIL, ZOMBIE GIRL, BRUDERSCHAFT…), KOMOR KOMMANDO finally strikes back with an all new 8-track EP release!

Although KOMOR KOMMANDO is deeply rooted in Industrial/EBM style, Sebastian Komor is not the kind of artist repeating himself again and again. He does not hesitate reinventing himself, experimenting and incorporating elements from other music genres as long as the cocktail mix remains sparkling and exploding! Sonically, this new EP sounds like an exciting solid blend of old and new, incorporating classic EBM vibes with modern EDM inspired production.

The title song “One By One” is bound to become a new instant club-hit and features guest female vocals by Azul from THE TRUE UNION revealing a perfect artistic match wetting our appetite for more. “I was doing mixing and production for her new release and after hearing her vocals I just had to ask her singing on one of my new tracks. I was simply blown away! Her vocals took the song to places I could not even imagine at the time…”, explains Komor. Strong basslines, powerful captivating vocals and hypnotizing beats. This song also appears here remixed by Brute Opposition and by Sebastian Komor himself who gave it a cool retro synth twist in its “xenomorph remix” version.

“Get Off The X” is another banging dancefloor track, with a darker and more malevolent edge maybe, a sort of sonic reflection of the bad, the good and the fxxcking ugly… This banging cut also received the remix treatment by C-LEKKTOR, ANTHONY (H) and CLOCKWORK ECHO each bringing this cut into an all new sound perspective.

“Brahmua” is the 3rd new song revealed on this EP. This instrumental piece has that special feel of tension-building, rising angst and mental distress. A sort of groovy sonic painting depicting how stressful life can sometimes be in its darker days.

“Taken by surprise that our new “<<rewind” 12” vinyl sold out in just a few hours, we heard the messages from our disappointed fans who couldn’t act fast enough and add this release to their collection, and also from our distributors who could not offer this vinyl to all our loyal record stores. This solid blue version will nevertheless remain strictly limited to 666 copies worldwide as announced”.

But we are launching a new pressing of this FRONT 242 vinyl (in solid yellow colour this time) which we hope to receive around early December. Manufacturing delays are very unstable the last time. It was bound to be an exclusive double-celebration anniversary release for the Alfa Matrix label’s 20th birthday and FRONT 242’s 40th anniversary, and to be revealed as a surprise at the band’s planned concerts in Brussels, Belgium (Ancienne Belgique) in 2021, however the long-casted shadow of the COVID-19 pandemic once more played spoilsport and upset our plans.

We decided that the wait was over and that it was high time sharing this beautiful 4-track 12-inch solid yellow color vinyl with all of you. With the stunning flashy yellow / blue artwork design of Etienne Auger, “<<Rewind<<” brings us back to FRONT 242’s golden moments through the sonic kaleidoscope of the newer Electronic Body Music generation (TERENCE FIXMER, THE HACKER, RADICAL G and KANT KINO) revisiting FRONT 242’s timeless tracks like “No Shuffle”, “Don’t Crash” and “Take One”.

Behind STAHLGEIST hides none other than our cult Hungarian artist Istvan Gazdag of FIRST AID 4 SOULS together with his friend Tamás Bank on vocals, another leading figure from the Hungarian industrial scene (WORKER MUNKAS, INTERZONE INC.).

Often compared to bands like FRONT LINE ASSEMBLY, LEAETHER STRIP or yet :WUMPSCUT: in their respective good old early years, STAHLGEIST indeed also find their inspiration in their own classical EBM roots with a touch of aggrotech song structure complexity, while opting for a less-is-more production approach made of fast solid bass lines, upbeat aggressive sequences and powerful angry vocals.
