Lyrically LLUMEN focuses on those sparkles of light that pierce through the darkness while melancholy is never that far away. Both featured songs “Cold In December” and “Lux Aeterna” portray a fictional view on how love can be lost and found…

The EP holds another 8 remixes, each focusing on other aspects of the music, translated into the unique styles of the artists involved. “Cold In December” is incarnated through 5 different versions ranging from old school EBM (PROPULSION) relying on a heavy bass, over the more eclectic style of IMPLANT’s heatwave mix, tying the old to the new, to the in-your-face synthpunk version (SUPER DRAGON PUNCH!!), while DISKONNEKTED delivers a breakbeat heavy club edit and PSY’AVIAH sums it up with a clever trancy version. “Lux Aeterna” is presented in 3 additional versions. SIMON CARTER’s break remix shows another side of the DJ’s work, offering here an extremely inspired melodic take. AVARICE IN AUDIO’s Dreamix adds, as the name suggests, a dreamy element to the mix, build upon a heavy club oriented foundation.
