While he’s currently working on a new full-length industrial album, Australian musical sensation STUDIO-X is today sharing with you the long awaited new single ”Cause Of Pain”.

This hard-kicking groovy new track features deep and heavy synthesized sounds, pumping beats and a super catchy robotized chorus. While the lyrics reflect a story of living with addiction, the tale of a life on the verge of self-destruction. Accompanied is an alternative “hard cyber minimal” version featuring a dark ‘less is more’ approach that will leave you hanging for more.

“Industrial music is here to stay” and so are STUDIO-X! With their new 6-track EP your favourite Australian techno industrial producer signs another classic club hit reminiscent of the band’s early days: a minimal track with a big kick drum, catchy computerised vocal samples and some dark industrial effects. Less is definitely more! “Butene Machines” follows the same dancefloor approach with a sci-fi futuristic flavour and a more classic verse/chorus song structure with vocals.

Up next is a more dark elektro oriented hard-hitting EBM track with harsh vocals featuring another forceful collaboration with his partner in crime Gerry of AVARICE IN AUDIO. It’s then up to Bridgette (who contributed to STUDIO-X’s previous “Wrong” album) to take the lead on the punchy “Terror Bull”, a highly addictive cocktail of EDM, deep bass and rave noise. While “New Blood” evokes the more aggressive industrial cuts with a drum & bass edge that Lawrie B. is used to do together with his friend SIMON CARTER. Icing on the cake, STUDIO-X loop the loop with the “VIP mix” of the title song to complete this new stunning EP in beauty with an even more pumping and faster melodic version of this new industrial dance anthem!

STUDIO-X is here to stay and we are here to rave!

Our STUDIO-X vs. SIMON CARTER dancefloor hit-makers used the global lock-down situation as an opportunity to distill this amazing new 11-track EP!

First of all selecting the most played and acclaimed songs from their recent “Disconnected” album with a clear preference for the more melodic driven tunes and giving them a full frontal club dimension. The powerful and unmatched emotional heartbreak-hypnotizing pearl “Our Promise” was an obvious choice as main title song for this new EP release since it has become one of the biggest techno club hits of the band. This song also gets featured here in its original version with vocoder male vocals plus a gorgeous dream version.

This dancefloor EP also pretty much sets the focus on the album’s stunning female fronted songs, most of them revealing the mesmerising vocal talents of diva Bridgette Collins infused with huge techno elements and EDM stabs. A cutting-edge sonic journey mixing hard-hitting industrial-techno assaults with angelic female vox and more moody melodic technoid analogue synth cuts.

And icing on the cake, during their recent prolific studio sessions, both hard dance DJ’s Simon Carter (UK) and Lawrie Masson/STUDIO-X (Australia) did not just deliver remixes of tracks like “Our Promise”, “Choices”, “I’m Alive”, “Disconnected”, “The Only One” and “Stronger” (featuring Trix on vocals), they also inked 3 brand new tracks with the hard-hitting and catchy vocoded “You Will See”, but also “Solar Flare” with Bridgette behind the mic again for a fully addictive fast-paced hi-energy slammer while she reveals her darker side on the highly emotional and shimmering song “Lost At Sea” and its overall bombastic piano-based echoing arrangements crashing onto exploding break beats.

STUDIO-X vs. SIMON CARTER once again reinvented their own sound and songs to get you dancing “Until The End Of Time”… Enjoy at maximum volume!

Strong from the club success of his last albums and other collaboration releases with DJ SIMON CARTER, TECNOID and other AVARICE IN AUDIO, our favorite Australian hi-NRG techno industrial producer STUDIO-X strikes back with a quite surprising new full length album that will destabilize more than one…

When joining hands with his new partner in crime Bridgette Collins, Lawrie Bayldon decided to break the rules by incorporating some new styles into his characteristic industrial dance sound. And while accidentally discovering a vocal fx chain that reminded them of MARILYN MANSON and other similar goth vocalists, they even went the crazy extra mile and started adding vocal lines on many songs of this new album, which is quite unusual for STUDIO-X who normally always mostly focused on sampled vocals manipulations.

“Wrong” is the living proof that nothing can go wrong once an artist dares taking new challenges rather than simply repeating an overused recipe of success…

Of course big beat anthems like the apocalyptic zombified “Approach”, the funny binary dance track “Question”, the next video gamers (“Left For Dead 2” fans: just shoot it!!) top favorite upbeat cut “L4D2” or yet the hard-hitting technoid “Vampire” all evoke the original STUDIO-X sound DNA and are all potential next club hits, but this new album also shows new sound directions with some kind of break beat styles incorporated into their groovy bass lines, while the verse/chorus vocal lines add a true catchy “song” dynamic to these new titles (the highly melodic “Slave”, the soul-crushing dark elektro “Asylum”, the contagious distorted “Disease”, the EBM-ish “Media” or yet the aggravating and crazy “Motivation”). And other songs like the melancholic noir electric pop “Wrong” or the poignant “Voices” and its emotional female vocal manipulations and its orchestral grandeur simply expand the sonic horizon of this stunning album that will grow on you in no time…

More than ever, STUDIO-X also sharpens here their unique sense of self-mockery and heavy criticism against society and humanity struggling with itself in general, adding that characteristic sense of humor that gives that extra touch to this dancefloor album on a sometimes much too serious dark industrial music scene. A “fun” dimension reminding us many times of the other Australian act SN0G’s at his best and most extravagant moments…

With “Wrong” STUDIO-X play it right and show people that you can express new styles of music but still incorporate your authentic sound. This unconventional album is a mixture of everything from entertaining to dark and beautiful and opens doors to a new trend towards eclectic electronic music with attitude…

And just like you… we don’t like STUDIO-X’s music unless it’s really loud… Play it at maximum volume!

With 2 albums (“Shine & Burn” and “Apollo & Dionysus”) under their belt, our inventive producers from AVARICE IN AUDIO have become one of the most acclaimed underground industrial pop act from Australia! After some time in the wilderness, and some line-up changes… AVARICE IN AUDIO now returns as a three-man act, featuring new member Ben alongside Gerry and Lawries newly-crafted electronic compilation.

Now comes the first single from their forthcoming 3rd album, starting with the slow, foreboding “Lie To Me”. The first song written by the new line up, produced alongside Ayax of ASCENSION EX, this track combines a new rawness the band have displayed, with a new sense of vulnerability and emotion before only touched on by earlier material. Aggressive bass, hard industrial at its core, Gerry’s powerfully tormented screams complimented by Ben’s new melodic and melancholic vocal work transformed the work into something greater than the sum of its parts.

This is additionally reinforced by remixes by American bands like FLAMMPUNKT and IAMMYNEWT, an enormous black metal remix by Japanese act VANISHED EMPIRE and a remix + bonus track featuring AIA’s own STUDIO-X, this is a new milestone for the project, presenting a devil may care attitude for the gentlemen behind AVARICE IN AUDIO, whom have only begun to shed light on what they are capable of during this new album that will unveil some amazing featurings and other surprises! “This is only the beginning… We are the ones, who never slept”…

Since the release of the very successful “Neo-Futurism” album whose physical CD version quickly sold-out and has become one of the most sought-after album from the Alfa Matrix repertoire, Aussie studio guru and producer Lawrie Bayldon has been involved in various side-projects including an impressive series of somewhat darker and poppier vocal albums and EP’s with UK DJ Simon Carter (SD-KRTR) while also becoming an active member of the modern EBM industrial AVARICE IN AUDIO gang.

Today, the STUDIO-X headquarters deliver “Neural Torment”, the perfect hi-energy follow-up to ”Neo-Futurism”, a 13-track album revealing his industrial hard-dance collaboration with talented Italian electronic artist Roberto Ricci aka TECHNOID!

The opening stomping hard dance track “Leave Us Alone” gives the tone of this album with its poignant scary atmosphere rhythmed by a crazy girl in full panic screaming her lungs out. The perfect song to keep your DJ set very dark or just to keep you dancing all night! Heavily inspired by DJ Proteus, the dark industrial “Down On Your Knees” will make you stand up and break the dancefloor. And that unique blend of dark industrial and hard dance / trance keeps coming in with cuts like “In God We Trust”, the progressive hardstyle of the viral and addictive “Kapooyah”, the hammering and mind-boggling “Stupid Fucking Ravers” or yet the industrial trance club classic and subversive “Cybergoth”.

At moments STUDIO-X vs. TECHNOID’s sonic neural torment also takes a more melodic turn with the memorable melodic lines of the synthcore song “First Time Ever”, the hypnotic “Charlie” or the flowing “Make Me Sick” and its matchless vocal samples! The boys also enjoy experimenting in studio with crazy sounds and samples, and tracks like “Motherfuckin Minions”, “Where Is Your License”, the closing “Last Thing In The World” and its sinister samples of evil Charles Manson, its heavy guitar riffs and hellish hard dance beat all bring their own touch of diversity to this very upbeat album…

This is industrial cyber dance without compromise like only STUDIO-X can do it! Hardstyle to play at maximum volume!

After a bunch of strong hardbeat releases together with his Australian pal of STUDIO-X, UK techno/breakbeat DJ Simon D. Carter today unleashes the first ep of his new exciting solo-project. With SD-KRTR, the studio guru and worldwide renowned club song producer teams up with some high-profile female vocalists coming from quite diverse horizons. He then fuses their highly expressive vocals into a futuristic cocktail of modern dancefloor techno trance with an emotional alt-pop touch and a slightly melancholic edge. It’s like these Diva’s are magically providing a soul to his machines, they certainly give soul to his thought stirring lyrics…

“Rise”, the title-song of this new 5-track EP is absolutely the perfect example of this! A cleverly constructed fist-pumping dancefloor slammer which contains all the explosive elements of an uplifting modern trance track augmented with dark undertones and powerful, emotive, heart-felt vocals courtesy of HELALYN FLOWERS leading lady, n0emi Aurora. A song with an infectious chorus that infiltrates your mind in no time and has you singing along whilst jumping on the dancefloor! This instant club-hit also gets released as an entirely different “Retro Version” giving more space to 80’s synths and drums, while Brazilian label-mates AESTHETISCHE have crafted a typically classy dance remix of “Rise” displaying their wonderful signature sound in full force!

We then also get an almost 9 minute long instrumental monster “Judgement Day”, a throwback to the 90’s style of epic-length upbeat electronic instrumental tracks. And the cherry on the cake, the fast-paced and hi-energy “The Only One”, a futuristic sounding synthpop song (featuring Patricia on vocals) that wouldn’t be completely out of place on a LA ROUX album!

So lay back, close your eyes and enjoy the journey that SD-KRTR takes you on, OR just let it all go, stand-up and throw your hands up in the air! ‘We Will Rise From The Fall’…

Taken from AVARICE IN AUDIO’s successful second album “Apollo & Dionysus”, we are proud to present the final single from this album: “Anthracite Nights”. AVARICE IN AUDIO have brought the thunder with this song, and shown to never rest on their laurels. Always working on new content, and always delivering diverse but thought-provoking material each and every time.

Augmented with remixes by label mates VENAL FLESH, JUNKSISTA and ENTRZELLE, alongside the Anthracite Remix contest winners ALIEN:NATION, ANTIBODY and RESTRICTION 9 (who also placed on our recent FRONT 242 contest!).

The sonic palette varies from harsh aggro tech to more cheerful synth pop, to brooding atmosphere and club bangers, “Anthracite Nights” has a solid pedigree behind it and serves as a fitting send off to the “Apollo & Dionysus” era. The artwork, commissioned by our premier artist TOMOKI HAYASAKA/SHEERHEART DESIGN shows a new depth of visual creativity, closing off the orb design used for every prior AIA E.P release. With a new dawn comes new visual and sonic aesthetic.

Finally combined with an original exclusive track “The Temptation & Expulsion”, an orchestral closer for the era of the first two AVARICE IN AUDIO albums, the triumvirate are ready to move forward and record their third album, while working on live shows.

Sometimes I wonder whether these studio freaks ever sleep?! UK DJ Simon Carter and his Australian partner in crime Lawrie Masson of STUDIO-X hit the dancefloor again with another extended 12-track EP offering us no less than 10 previously unreleased brand new tracks!

“Sunrise” is probably the most commercial sounding song from their “Ad Astra Volantis” album. Full of passion and melancholy, this song is catchy as hell, and its new extended and faster club edit makes it the perfect version to spin in a dark electronic music set. And the duo continues their dancey pop approach with “I Love You (So Deeply Completely)” and the gorgeous guest vocals of A2B2 whose voice perfectly fits this synth pop anthem’s fashionable chorus. Catchiness seems to be the red-line of this release with the vocaloid vocals of “On The Other Side”, a lush dancefloor track that loops in more than one way; or yet with the charming tingles and bells of the commercial vocoder track “The Sound Of Love”.

And it’s exactly when we start thinking that STUDIO-X vs. SIMON CARTER decided to go for a sunny dance pop release, especially with happy songs like the full on “hands in the air” à la Tomorrow Land “Summers Day” upbeat anthem, that they hit us straight in the face with more aggressive sounding tracks like the robotic dark dance cut “A New Dawn”, the grooving and party jumping new club hit “Matrix Of The Mind” and its BENNY BENASSI-style saws and bass-lines or yet the new dancefloor favorite “Move On” whose heavy drop and harsh basslines will resonate through the listener’s body! “Return To Eternity” is also another exceedingly furious upbeat cut mixing catchy dance and other vocaloid vocals, making it sound like what the cool kids wish EDM would sound like!

Last but not least, the duo also brings us on a “Moonlight Reverie” with a rather “oldskool” up-tempo drumstep track containing vocoder vocals, akin to MIND.IN.A.BOX; before perfectly finishing off this “Sunrise” EP with the epic and slower song “Children Of The Night” with its potent message to the world and the powers that be: “We are the children of the night, We strike at the heart of humanity’s spite”…

Another 12-track EP by STUDIO-X vs. SIMON CARTER which is another great example of how genres mean nothing to this controversially and diverse duo who enjoy challenging electronic music fans with their free-from-barriers and boundaries, upbeat, EDM-esque sounding music… Whether you like psy-trance, techno-house, synth pop or EBM industrial, this band has something for you to dance to!
