This is how Erlend himself perceives it: “Both these tracks have some of the same emotions, though in different ways. “In Not Ready For This” I see fog, a challenge, and fear of going through it, while in “Afraid To Let Go” the challenge is to let go of something which doesn’t serve you, but still being afraid of what will happen after you let go. So it is basically fear, sadness and melancholia blended together, quite dark yes…”.

While “A Mystery After Sunset” showcases the darker and more mystical soundscapes of LIGHTS A.M., the title track “Agnes” is the most touching song for which a video clip is also simultaneously released, made from private footage and images, adding a visual dimension to this heartwarming tribute that Erlend wrote when he lost his beloved Griffon dog companion named Agnes who shared his life for some 16 years along with her best friend Mogwai, also deeply missed…

As Erlend explains it himself with nostalgia in his voice: “Agnes was and still is a big part of me, my family and close friends life. She’s been an inspiration, a support and a best friend for me, and has brought me a lot during all the years we spent together. We did so much fun and memorable things together, she even was part of the first promo pics for my first band back in the days…”.
